Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what we sell

Tectov is an independent online retailer of consumer electronics. We sell devices in four graded conditions — New (factory sealed), Refurbished A (like new), Refurbished B (good) and Used (fair). Each listing states the grade and, for pre-owned devices, a short condition note. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, Samsung, Google, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or any other manufacturer whose products we sell; their trademarks are used only to identify the goods.

Pre-owned devices are sourced from trade-ins, carrier returns and certified wholesale partners, then inspected, data-wiped to NIST 800-88 standards, tested on a 100-point checklist and photographed before listing. Where a device uses a non-original replacement part (for example a third-party battery), the condition note says so.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to place an order. You may check out as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for every action taken under your account. Tell us immediately at support@tectov.shop if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, abuse promotions or present a fraud risk.

3. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We confirm receipt by email, but a contract is formed only when we send a payment confirmed notice (order status "Paid"). Until then we may decline or cancel an order for any lawful reason, including pricing or listing errors, stock unavailability, suspected fraud or a delivery address outside our service area. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund in full to the original payment method.

Stock levels shown on the site are updated in near real time but are not a guarantee of availability. Quantities are limited to five units per SKU per order. We may refuse bulk or reseller orders.

4. Prices, taxes and promotions

All prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where we are required to collect it. "Was" prices reflect the manufacturer's current price for an equivalent new device, not necessarily a price at which we previously sold the item. Despite our best efforts, a small number of listings may be mispriced; if an item's correct price is higher than stated, we will contact you before shipping and you may cancel for a full refund.

We run exactly one promotional code, WELCOME5, which gives registered customers 5% off the merchandise subtotal of any order. It cannot be transferred, sold or combined with any other code. Separately, orders paid in cryptocurrency receive an automatic 3% reduction of the amount due (see Section 5). Promotions may be amended or withdrawn at any time without affecting orders already placed.

5. Payment

We accept major payment cards processed by a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider — card numbers are tokenised and never stored on Tectov systems — and cryptocurrency (currently BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC and TON) through a licensed crypto payment processor. When you choose cryptocurrency, the invoice is denominated in USD and converted at the processor's rate at the moment the invoice is issued; the invoice is valid for the period shown on screen (typically 30 minutes). Network fees are borne by you. An order is "Paid" once the processor reports the required number of network confirmations. Underpayments are held as store credit pending top-up; overpayments are refunded in the same asset less network fees.

If a payment method is temporarily unavailable, we will say so on the payment screen and offer an alternative. No charge is made for a declined or unavailable payment.

6. Trade-in program

Our trade-in calculator provides an instant estimate based on the catalog price of a new equivalent device multiplied by age, condition and kit factors published on the Trade-in page. An estimate is valid for 48 hours and is applied as a credit against a new purchase. The credit is capped at 70% of the merchandise subtotal of the new order, and every trade-in order requires a cash payment of at least $100.

On delivery, the courier collects your trade-in device and checks it against the condition you declared. If the device matches, the credit is final. If it does not (for example a "Good" device arrives with a cracked screen), we will email a revised offer within two business days; you may accept the revised amount or have the device returned to you at no charge, in which case the difference becomes payable on the new order. You must remove activation locks (Find My, Google account, Samsung account) and back up your data before handover; we are not responsible for data on traded-in devices. Trade-in devices become Tectov property once the credit is final and cannot be returned to you.

7. Delivery and risk

We deliver by insured courier within the contiguous United States, typically within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Our Inspect with the Courier policy lets you open the package and power the device on before signing. If you refuse delivery after inspection we cancel the order and refund you in full. 8. Warranty

New devices carry the manufacturer's warranty plus Tectov's own 12-month warranty. Refurbished A and B devices carry a 12-month Tectov warranty; Used devices carry 6 months. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and is serviced by Tectov: we repair, replace with an equivalent device or refund at our option. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, cosmetic wear present at sale, software issues, unauthorised repairs, normal battery degradation below our stated threshold or consumables. Battery health for refurbished devices is guaranteed to be at least the percentage stated on the listing at delivery.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WARRANTY ABOVE IS THE SOLE WARRANTY WE GIVE AND REPLACES ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEPT WHERE THOSE WARRANTIES CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IN WHICH CASE THEY ARE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD ABOVE.

9. Returns and refunds

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, subject to the conditions in our Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Items accepted as trade-ins are final sale. Refunds are issued to the original payment method; cryptocurrency refunds are made in USD-equivalent of the same asset at the rate on the refund date.

10. Intellectual property and acceptable use

The Tectov name, logo, site design, photographs, descriptions and software are owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the site for personal shopping only. You may not scrape, copy, frame or reverse-engineer any part of it, interfere with its security, use automated tools to place orders, or misrepresent your identity. Product trademarks belong to their respective owners.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECTOV'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM AN ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT ORDER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by applicable law. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Dispute resolution and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding you agree to contact us at legal@tectov.shop and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Wilmington, Delaware, before a single arbitrator. Arbitration is conducted on an individual basis; class actions and class arbitrations are waived. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing us within 30 days of your first order.

13. Changes, severability, contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy, Return and Shipping policies, are the entire agreement between us regarding your purchases.
