About Tectov
Good devices deserve a second owner — and a fair price the first time.
Tectov was founded in 2024 by a group of tech enthusiasts who had spent a decade fixing, grading and reselling phones and laptops. We were tired of two things: new electronics priced as if the previous generation never existed, and "refurbished" marketplaces where you never knew who graded the device or what happened if it arrived broken. So we built the store we wanted to buy from.

Our mission: less e-waste, more upgrades
Over 60 million tonnes of electronics are discarded every year, and most of it still works. A two-year-old flagship phone is a brilliant device — it just needs a battery check, a clean, an honest grade and a warranty. Every refurbished device we sell saves roughly 80% of the carbon of manufacturing a new one, and every trade-in keeps a device in the loop instead of in a drawer.
We sell new devices too, because sometimes you want the latest camera. But even then we make it easy to do the responsible thing: trade in what you have at checkout, and we take care of wiping, grading and finding it a new home.

Every device is tested on our 100-point checklist by our own technicians in Austin — never drop-shipped.

The same warranty on refurbished as on new, serviced by us, not a third party.

Open the box and power it on before you sign. Not right? Hand it back.

A transparent formula, a 48-hour lock and credit up to 70% of your new device.
Low-impact packaging
Recycled cardboard, no plastic fill, printed inspection sheet instead of a glossy box.
Nothing to landfill
Devices beyond repair are harvested for parts and the remainder goes to an R2-certified recycler.

How we got here
May 2024
Tectov Commerce LLC formed in Delaware; first 200 refurbished iPhones sold from a 1,200 sq ft unit in East Austin.
Oct 2024
Trade-in calculator launched. Courier pickup of old devices on the same visit as delivery.
Mar 2025
Crypto payments added with a permanent 3% discount. Inspect-with-courier becomes standard on every order.
Sep 2025
New-in-box catalog added alongside refurbished. 10,000th customer.
Jun 2026
Moved to a 9,000 sq ft facility with an in-house battery lab and data-wipe line. 17,000+ customers served.
